Chip seal, done the Hill Country way
A sealed stone drive for a fraction of what hot-mix costs.
Also called tar and chip. We grade and compact your caliche or gravel, spray hot asphalt binder, spread clean crushed stone into it, and roll it tight. The dust, the mud, and the washboard are done, and the finish keeps the natural stone look that suits a ranch drive.
- Long caliche and gravel drives
- Ranch and private roads
- Barn lots, equipment yards, and pads

How the drive gets sealed
Grade
We shape and compact the caliche or gravel base so water runs off the drive, not down it.
Spray
A distributor truck lays an even coat of hot asphalt binder across the whole width.
Spread
The chip spreader drops clean crushed stone into the binder while it is still hot.
Roll
Rollers press the stone into the binder until it locks. Loose stone is swept off.
20% off any chip seal project, any size, taken right off your quote.

Our own phone footage from a chip seal job east of Austin: the dump truck backs along the fresh binder while the crew spreads stone before the light goes. Not a stock clip. This is how we work.
In business since 2001. Open Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Chip seal or asphalt?
Both last when the base is right. The difference is the finish and the price.

Asphalt paving
Smooth black hot-mix when you want the finished look.
We build and compact the base so water runs off, then lay hot-mix asphalt and roll it smooth with clean edges. The right call for a home driveway that sees daily traffic, a parking lot, or a commercial pad.
- Home driveways
- Parking lots
- Commercial and industrial pads

Questions we hear at the gate
Is chip seal the same as tar and chip?
Yes. Chip seal and tar and chip are two names for the same surface: hot asphalt binder with crushed stone rolled into it.
How does the 20% off work?
It comes off any chip seal project, any size, and we take it right off your quote. Asphalt paving quotes are free.
Should I choose chip seal or asphalt?
Chip seal is the budget-friendly way to turn a dusty caliche or gravel drive into a sealed surface, and it is made for long drives and ranch roads. Asphalt costs more and gives a smooth, finished surface. Tell us what you have and we will tell you straight which fits.
Do you take commercial work?
Yes. We chip seal and pave for homes, ranches, businesses, and industrial sites: lots, access roads, yards, and pads.
Do you work outside Austin?
Yes. We cover the Austin metro and the Hill Country, from Georgetown and Temple down to New Braunfels, and from Fredericksburg east to La Grange. For larger projects we travel farther, so ask even if your town is not listed.
